Connecting with policymakers in healthcare across Europe is a priority for EPIC. We are delighted to report that regional Minister for Culture and Science, Ina Brandes, made a site visit to our partners at the palliative care centre in the University Hospital of Düsseldorf, Germany. During this site visit, the minister was informed about EPIC and the urgent need for innovative solutions to improve integration between palliative and intensive care practices. In speaking with EPIC partner Prof. Dr. Martin Neukirchen, the minister was highly supportive of the care provided at the University Hospital and the continuous efforts to research new solutions to address patients’ needs. We are heartened by her interest in our ongoing research and welcome any future collaboration and engagement.
